so i got rear-ended at a stop light this week. good news is no one was hurt, bad news is that the MINI got some serious damage. will need a new rear bumpber, muffler and some floor pan work in the back. as well as a lot of paint work in the rear. total is close to $4500 in parts and labor. worse part is the 3 week delay before i can get it to the shop that i want to do the work. so my estimate is 5 weeks or so from now before the MINI is returned to me in pre-accident form.

i'm trying to keep a positive outlook, there are many worse things in life that can happen to me. and while the car is drivable i'd rather not (let's see how long that lasts!) so for the near term i'm working from home or riding my bike(s).

and on the bright side, maybe i can swing an aftermarket exhaust instead of the OEM one.
